TODAY’S MEDITATION – Your shelter is in the Lord (Psalm 64)

Evil can come in different ways and forms in our lives because Satan wants to catch us unprepared. As children of God, we should never forget that he is always tempting us in our weakest areas when we least expect it… you know why? Because he is a coward! But, the Word of God says that God Himself will strike down our enemies (verse 7), whether they are physical or spiritual. My brother, my sister, wickedness is widespread and can affect us in many ways, but the final victory already belongs to you because Jesus gained it for you on the Cross when He defeated Satan… That is why the Word of God tells you: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done” (Philippians 4:6-7). All the Lord is asking you to do is to trust and believe in Him! Yes, today you may think that God hears only certain prayers or requests from you. While it is true that you should offer praise, confession and respectful petitions to the Lord, it is also true that He is willing to listen to ANYTHING you want to tell Him. YES, PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING! The problem with most of us is that we approach the Lord halfheartedly, or trying to hide things from Him. He is omniscient and knows everything, my friend. You see, here David expressed himself honestly knowing that God would hear his voice. When you really believe that the Lord is your shelter, you will have the inside assurance that he will always listen to you and fully understand you. And when you really trust Him, that assurance transforms in your shelter that whatever attacks are coming your way, as you trust Him, they will not cause lasting damage whatever happens. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
