TODAY’S MEDITATION – Your limitations determine the size of your tent (Isaiah 54:2)

Today’s passage says this: ““Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.” My brother, my sister, your limitations determine the size of your tent. To enlarge the place of your tent means you have got to think bigger than you have ever thought before. Your tent is not to stay the same size. You have got to expand your thinking about what God wants to do in your life and the role He will play in the fulfilment of your destiny. You have got to enlarge your capacity to receive what God wants to do in your life: go beyond thinking about getting your own needs met and allow God to use you to meet the needs of other people. Expand your tent by knowing that God wants to bless you for the purpose of being a blessing to those around you. Spare not when it comes to showing the world how good your Father is. Prepare to receive more and prepare to give more. This is why you are on earth, this is why you were born. Yes, my friend, you were born to be blessed and you were born to be a blessing. This is the destiny you were called to fulfil.
The problem with the children of God is that they mostly pray for their own well-being. My friend, remember what David said: “My cup runs over” (Psalm 23:5). This means that David had more than enough. The same, when Jesus fed the multitude there were twelve baskets left over. Likewise, they had more than enough. Don’t pray to just get by, pray that you will have more than enough so others can feed off of God’s goodness towards you. As a child of God, you should be willing to ask big, for those things God already said you could have. This is how you enlarge your tent and take the limits off what God can do for you. Ask Him for those abundant blessings that will propel you to your destiny and purpose. Ask Him to help you come up higher so that you “may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:17). My friend, God can make happen what you can’t make happen on your own. Your future is already planned out and what you need to fulfil your destiny is waiting for you to come take possession of it. Ask God for big things and use your faith to believe He will direct your steps (Proverbs 16:9). No longer are you to have a survival mentality but trust in God who is more than enough. Ask big and receive big. This is how God will enlarge your territory. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
