TODAY’S MEDITATION – You can’t stand before God if you are unclean or corrupted!

Today, we tend to forget that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Many believers go to church without having the sense of reverence they should for our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who established the church and its rules… Why? Because people don’t want to be told the truth of the Gospel, but most are looking for sensations within the church. And such people would argue and even question the Word of God while claiming to be Christians. My brother, my sister, today know that in the Old Testament, when someone was defiled and unclean, they were unfit to enter the temple ot to worship before God (Lamentations 4:13-15). Therefore, also know that it was the duty of the priets and prophets to maintain purity, so that they could perform their duties before God. Now, the Bible tells us that our bodies are the Temple of God. Therefore, we should keep it clean and pure to be able to worship the Lord. The Bible has not changed the rules of God because our society is promoting gay marriages, sex before marriages, corruption, etc… as norms. The norms of the world are not the norms of the Lord! Can you imagine how powerful and efficient the Spirit of God would be working in this fallen world among us, if we believers were obedient to the Word and living according to God’s principles? You see, all of us want to be blessed by God, but only thing triggers His blessings abondantly: obedience to His laws: “But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it–not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it–they will be blessed in what they do” (James 1:25). My friend, yes…. it is not easy to live in a way that pleases God among sinners. But living that way is what sets you free, heals you, restores, you and opens the flood gates of heaven over your head. God is looking for faithful and obedient children who respect themselves and what He says. Now, think about yourself: are you trying to be that son or daughter who is trying to please His father, trusting that what He says is what should be done, or are you the kind who argues with the Lord on His laws? Today’s verse is clear: “Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [facebook] [retweet]
