Nowadays, like in Galatia long ago, many believers had received the Holy Spirit. We know that we do not receive the Holy Spirit because of the works we do, just like the Galatians knew they had not received Him because they were obeying Jewish laws. My brother, my sister, in our Christian walk, like Paul is stressing here, we need to grow by the Spirit’s power, therefore we we need the Holy Spirit. Why? Because the only way we can grow spiritually is through God’s work in us by His Spirit, not by following special rules or any religion of the world. It is the Spirit of God, not the Spirit of Catholicism, Protestantism, Mohammad or Buddha, etc… Yes, the work of the Spirit of God will teach you to persist in your faith, to keep doing what is right even when it no longer seems interesting because He feels you with undeniable fruits (Galatians 5:22). So, my friends, even if it seems to you that your Christian life is ordinary, it is up to you to ask the Spirit of God to stir you up daily, and He will. Every day offers new challenges to live for Christ, so renew your strength in the Lord through His Spirit. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
