TODAY’S MEDITATION – You are on earth to glorify God (Matthew 5:16).

This verse of the Bible tells us why we are here on this earth: God has created us for a purpose and He sent Jesus for us to be redeemed and be reconciled with Him. Yet, as we live on this earth, through Jesus, He has made us the salt and the light of the world. So, my brother, my sister, “let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). You see, many people struggle to consistently give God glory in all aspects of their personal lives, relationships or activities, while He is the one allowing us to do what we do, to be where we are, to live where we live… And the Word of God tells us to thank Him for whatever we have experienced (good or bad in our own view). We tend to forget that for our Creator, a way that may seem bad to you could be the perfect way the Lord has chosen for you, because He knows us better than ourselves. My friends, we should bear in mind that we are on this earth primarily to glorify God, not to please men, through our reverence, service and devotion in all ways we can… not only at church but also in our time alone with Him, in our workplace, in our home, etc. Jesus said, “I have glorify you, Father, on the earth, having accomplished the work, you have given me to do” (John 17:4). My friend, this is the purpose of your life: to glorify God by completing His will and purpose for your life. To God be all the glory… Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
