TODAY’S MEDITATION – Wisdom lights up your face (Ecclesiastes 8:1)

Oh, I like the Word of God. My brother, my sister, listen to this: “A person’s wisdom brightens their face and changes its hard appearance”. God is good all the time. Sometimes, when you look at some people their face is so hard that it seems that they are carrying all the problems of the world over their shoulders. You see, God has planned everything for us to live a happy and prosperous life on this earth despite the presence of the enemy. And wisdom is something that we all should desire more than the money and the material things many are running after in this world.

Now, what is wisdom? It is the ability to see life from God’s perspective and then know the best course of action to take. It is because we have a bad definition of wisdom that we do not access it, even if God is willing to make us wise. Today, bear in mind that wisdom is a valuable asset that you need to acquire for your face to brightens, because your face can brighten only when your inside is light! Proverbs 9:10 teaches us that the fear of the Lord, which is respecting and honouring the Lord, is the beginning of wisdom. So, God being a God who does not change His principles, if you want to start having wisdom, start respecting His principles and honouring His Word! Why? Because wisdom comes from knowing and trusting the Lord in every are of your life.

How many believers trust in Jesus for salvation, but do not meet his institution to go to church? How many trust in the Lord Jesus for their health or their needs, but do not trust him with their money, their talents or their time? Yes, they want to reach heaven, but are not willing to respect the principles set out by God to go to heaven! The answer is simple: such people still don’t know the Lord and they do not understand that heaven is a Kingdom and you don’t enter this Kingdom as you want and you don’t do what you want there… and it is on earth that we train in order to enter this Kingdom! You see, knowing God cannot be reduced to finding Him. It leads you to understanding and then sharing your knowledge with others, as He empowers you with His wisdom to do so. That is the reason why today’s verse says: “Who is like the wise? Who knows the explanation of things?” Only God has an explanation for everything, so learn to know Him through Jesus to acquire His wisdom. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
