TODAY’S MEDITATION – Why do you suffer because of the way people judge you? (1 Corinthians 4:3-5)

Many people suffer deep down because of what people say or think about their them or about the way they live. My brother, my sister, know that anything a person can judge you about or with comes from that person’s limited view of who you are, what you are doing and of your are in reality. You know, someone will always have to say something about you. But that person does not master what God has prepared in secret for you, in you and with you. Twenty four years ago, when I started university, someone in my family vowed that I would never pursue my studies… and truly, my first four years in university were very confused, since I had no idea of what I wanted to do. But the truth is this: that person did not know what God had planned for me. Even me, at that time, I did not know, that is why it was not obvious in the beginning, and it took me four years to get a degree I should have got after two years. But, then, I strongly believe that the Lord then took control, because nobody, including myself, was not going to stop His plans in ly life: The next six years in university, I gathered 1 degree, 2 masters degree and a PhD and during that time I even had time to have a baby. My, friend, you yourself and whoever is talking about you have a limited vision of God’s purpose for your life. Yes, it is always very tempting to judge people, especiallly Christians are very quick judging fellow Christians, evaluating whether or not they are good followers of Christ. But only God knows a person’s heart and He is the only one with the rights to judge.

Let’s read at Apostle Paul’s message on today’s passage: “I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.” May this message strenghten you in your walk with the Lord. As you are doing what pleases God, according to your calling, keep doing it and do not mind or be upset by those who judge you, for their opinion does not determine who you are or what you are doing: God can raise you from nowhere to the pulpit, and turn you from being nobody in the eyes of men into someone in this world, and for that He does not ask anyone anything. Let the arrogant judge you, for whoever judges you is invariably considering himself or herself better than you… When Christ returns, He will judge all of us, then the truth shall be known. So, why do you suffer because of the way people see you, perceive you, talk about you… Set your eyes on the only judge who has a fair judgement and make sure He has nothing to reproach you when He returns. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
