TODAY’S MEDITATION – Where is your Jesus? (Mark 16:6)

Many believers are going around the world, looking for Jesus: they move from one church to another, looking for sensations, a prophecy, healing, restoration, deliverance or a breakthrough. My brother, my sister, have you not heard Jesus saying: “it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you” (John 16:7). Yes, today, Jesus lives in your heart, through the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the only place you should look for Him is in your heart.

If you are still looking for Jesus through the signs and wonders, then you have a serious problem with your faith and you should not neglect this. My friend, I want to tell you today that “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here” (Mark 16:6). Yes, Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God, so if you are looking for Him, that’s where you need to ensure you are. And the only way we can approach God’s presence is by having a clean and pure heart.

My friend, if you feel like you are missing Jesus or His physical absence has become something that makes you run across the earth looking for Him, then the only answer for you is: check your heart, put your heart right with God, because normally, you are supposed to be sitting near Jesus, at the right hand of God. You can’t feel emptiness by the side of the Lord, unless you have moved away from Him (because He will never leave you nor forsake you). That emptiness you feel comes from the disposition of your own heart, nothing external can hinder a good relationship with God, for where God’s Spirit dwells, there is life and not death, so how much more any void. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
