TODAY’S MEDITATION – What you put into life determines what is important to you (Acts 20:24)

There are many people who think that their life is a failure because they are not getting a lot out of it: fun, recognition, money, success. My brother, my sister, before you came into the world, many other people felt the same, but Apostle Paul tells us today that life is worth nothing unless he used it for God’s work: “I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace”.

My friend, Apostle Paul’s example shows us that what we put into this life determines what really matters for us. As for him, what he put into life was far more important than what he go out of it. He did not consider himself poor because he was not living in a luxurious house, or in need because he could not afford the things he could have wished, but he was the greatest missionary who ever lived. How are you shaping your own life? Today, many people want to go around the world making disciples, actually, it’s mostly to post photos of their trips on social media more than they want to give their life to become true missionaries who make a difference in people’s lives.

Let’s not deceive ourselves: God is not looking for spiritual tourists, but for men and women who will focus on the task He has given them to do. And even if this task requires that they walk miles and miles to do it, they will do it without complaining about what they are missing in the world because what matters to them is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given them. Are you determined to give more in this life than to receive? Then make yourself available for the Lord to use you according to His will. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
