TODAY’S MEDITATION – What you expect from the Lord is hidden in His Word (2 Timothy 3:16)

Many believers would repeat this verse “my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6), but only a minority truly seeks knowledge by reading and meditating the Word of God day and night (Joshua 1:8) or faithfully living a life designed by the Lord in His Word. My brother, my sister, what do you expect from the Lord? Today allow me to say that the Lord cannot act powerfully in your life when you have not yet clearly positioned yourself. Being a Christian is not by might, it’s not by power, it’s not by what you say! It’s by the Holy Spirit. True Christians walk by the inspiration of the Spirit of God who instructs them and changes them from inside out (2 Timothy 3:1). Hear what comes from the mouth of many believers to know who they truly are! The knowledge you acquire from the Word needs to bring obedience to the Lord’s teachings, greater love and the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom for you. Today, many people understand the Word in a self-interested way, which makes the Lord not to recognize His Word in them, and that hinders His action in their lives. My friend, God said: “seek my kingdom first and my righteousness” (Matthew 6:33), He also said if we abandon our wicked ways, He will deliver us, heal us, restore us (2 Chronicles 14:7). So, allow me to ask you this again: what do you expect from the Lord? – Healing or deliverance? The Bible said: “He sent out His word and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20)… so why are you running after men for healing and deliverance? – Prosperity and good health? Start making your soul prosper first (3 John 1:2) – Wealth or money? Rather seek the Lord who provides and depend on Him (Luke 9:3) – Courage in the midst of fear of affliction? (2 Timothy 1:7) – Marriage? Ask the Lord to prepare you first and to lead you to His perfect plan, so you don’t end up divorcing one day (Genesis 2:24) – Children? Read Hannah’s prayer on 1 Samuel 1:11-16) Yes, what you expect from the Lord is already available for you to take it. But the truth is: what do you do of the Word of God when you hear it? It is the living Word and it cannot transform, deliver or heal you if it does not touch your heart in a way to change your ways! That’s why God says: My people perish for lack of knowledge. You may know that you have money in your bank account and continue to walk barefoot or even to beg as if you had nothing. Have you ever heard of those celebrities who have stolen jewelry. Do they did not have what to buy? That makes you what? A fool! Sadly enough, this is the case of many believers: they know the Word of God, but they are walking with it as a rich person who continues to beg (they beg for prayers, they run behind the servants of God instead of seeking the face of Jesus…)! My friend, what do you need in this world that has not yet been provided by the Lord? If you have not yet accessed your promises, wait patiently on the Lord while preparing yourself to receive them… Because God cannot bless you with what you are asking Him for you to “spend what you get on your pleasures” (James 4:3), so allow His Word to be your lamp, your guide, your mirror and your instructor. In other words, your lack of knowledge could be hindering the Lord’s action through you and in you. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
