TODAY’S MEDITATION – WHAT YOU DECIDE TO BELIEVE IS YOUR CHOICE (John 11:40)

We all have thousands of thoughts each and every day that determine our mood, beliefs and life. Yet God commands us to take EVERY thought captive with His Word. My brother, my sister, pay attention to what you are thinking and DECIDE, yes, DECIDE if your thoughts are in agreement with what God tells us in His Word. When we don’t do that, we can easily live in lies rather than in the truth… in darkness rather than in the light.
The enemy will tell you “You’re sick.” But as a reminder of Isaiah 53:5, the Word of God tells you that « He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. » (1 Peter 2:24).
The same, Satan will tell you: “You are poor”. But God tells you: « But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. » (Philippians 4:19).
When the enemy says you don’t have. You must declare and pray: “Lord, You said no good thing will You withhold, because I walk uprightly. And I believe even right now You are arranging things in my favour.” (Psalm 84:11) AND BELIEVE IT TO SEE IT!
The enemy shouts at you: “Oh, You are so sad”. It is up to you to remind him that God says that weeping may endure for a night, but I know my joy is coming in the morning (Psalm 30:5).
The enemy says you are hopeless. You are thinking: “Nothing good ever happens to me.” Or “Me and my family will amount to nothing.” My friend, there is a better report for you from God’s Word that says: « Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you » (Zechariah 9:12).
Yes, WHAT YOU DECIDE TO BELIEVE IS YOUR CHOICE! Break those chains of lies and despair! It is up to you to defeat the lies of the enemy using the truth of God’s Word. The Bible says, “We walk by faith and not by sight.” That means we don’t have to see things to believe they are happening. It’s the opposite. If we believe, then we see what we believe in.
My friend, get up each day believing and expecting God’s love and favour to manifest as His mercy is renewed, because what you decide to believe is what you end up seeing! To all your WHY’s and WHEN’s… Jesus is responding to you this morning: « Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe? » (John 11:40).
Stay blessed in Jesus name!
