TODAY’S MEDITATION – What shows you are a true disciple of Jesus? (John 13:35)

It is normal for us all to have differences of opinion on many things, because God has made us unique individuals. Also , we who claim to be Christians, we must work together for Christ. Today, one of the reasons for fighting in our churches is that certain people think they are always right about everything and they become very legalistic about it. They will even use the Bible to try to justify themselves. My brother, my sister, as Christians, the Church of Christ must be known for love, not her fighting or differences of opinion. Jesus said it all in this verse: “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” My friends, we are asked, in Scripture to make every effort to be at peace (Hebrews 12:14), to promote peace, to build up one another in the church, to edify (Romans 14:19), to maintain unity in the church. Yes, instead of fighting, arguing, and criticizing, we must work at building the Church of Christ… because our personal preferences and ideas are not going to open the gates of Heaven for any of us. It is what we do for the Kingdom wholeheartedly that God will take into account. That is why we must work at building up one another, not tearing one another down in attempt to try and o to sneak into heaven all alone when you believe to have the truth! My friend, Christ is the Truth and He came for those who are lost, so if you do refuse to build up your brother or sister you believe is lost, do you really have the truth? We need to eliminate the negative and focus on the positive in our churches and in our daily lives, because you cannot claim to be a true Christian because you go to church while you do not live in peace with others both in the church and in the world.. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
