Today, it is worth mentioning that the body of Christ is VERY sick because many believers are not seeing answers to their prayers. My brother, my sister, we all have parents. Can you remember how your mum or dad reacts when they hear you are sick or that things are not working well with you? The problem is that we tend to forget that God is our father, and that He loves us more than our earthly parents. Jesus said: “though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” (Matthew 7:9-11). So, just imagine how the Lord feels when He sees us sick, when He hear us asking Him for bread every day and we sometimes think He does not give it to us (some believers will even tell you in a miserable voice: “It is when God wants”). No, my friend, God wants you to be happy today, He wants you to be healed now, because the he has formed for before you were born are plans to prosper you and not to harm you (Jeremiah 29:11). My friend, the truth is that God’s Word has not changed: bear in mind that Jesus did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill the law, to show you that you too can fulfill it! So, don’t think that you can sin, ask for forgiveness and you are automatically forgiven without consequences in your life! For you to understand this, hear what God is saying here: “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14). Now, Look at what God is asking us here: to HUMBLE OURSELVES, to PRAY, to SEEK HIS FACE, to TURN AWAY FROM OUR WICKED WAYS… and once we do ALL THAT, He will hear us, forgive our sins and heal us. My friend, He did not say when you do part of that… we need to do all that for Him to act in our lives. so that you understand that if you have not been healed or brought back to the state the Lord wants you to be, it is because of you and you alone! My friend, with God, everything is CONDITIONAL: His blessings, His healing, His anointing, His power, His forgiveness… so we should stop approaching Him as if we are going to the market where we can bargain with Him. Some people even pray giving God their own conditions: “Lord, if you heal me, then I will do this…” Yes this prayer is not bad – Hannah prayed like that for a son and God answered her (1 Samuel 2). But God God who knows our hearts better than ourselves knew she was sincere, so if He is not answering you… then check your true motives, humble yourself and pray, seek His face and turn away from your wicked ways… then He will do to you according to His Word, for He is not a man to lie.
