TODAY’S MEDITATION – What is God saying about your situation? (John 10:27-28)

My brother, my sister, it is foolish to think that we can attract the attention of God without faithfully following His instructions. And unfortunately, many believers tend to look to man to hear God speak about their circumstances. This is a subtle form of idolatry. Why? Because the truth was revealed in the Word of God and it should be your primary resource to find out what the Lord says about our situation, which leads us to say that today’s prophets are expected to lead people to Christ and His abundant life, not only to reveal the means and strategies to be blessed or to live a better life on earth. I thank the Lord for giving me this understanding through His Word, showing me that very often, when we call on Him, we fail to follow His instructions because of our lack of patience and perseverance, and wait on His action, but we always try to do things ourselves by starting a prayer, fasting or asking for help from other Christians when we do not start running behind prophecies.

My friend, God is in His Word and He knows what you need and He can sort out your situation better than any plan you have drafted or initiated. If you seek God’s direction, allow Him also to tell you what to do before launching yourself in anything! David sought God twice before a battle, and God told him exactly what he had to do (1 Samuel 23:1-4)… Many times David sought the direction of the Lord: “Then it came about afterwards that David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up to one of the cities of Judah?” And the Lord said to him, “Go up” So David said, “Where shall I go up?” And He said, “To Hebron.” (2 Samuel 2:1). My friend, never start anything without consulting and having the direction God, because God is in what He asks us to do, not in what we are trying to force Him to do .

Indeed, God speaks. And His Word is our prime instruction book and the answer or solution to your unwanted circumstances is within it. So, seek the One who says: “call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me” (Psalm 50:15). The Bible also says: “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you” (Psalm 9:10). My friend, if you have been calling God and have not received His answer yet, then check what you have been doing with His book of instructions. It is written: “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). Nothing on earth can resist the Word of God… Seek to know God first, then you will be able to know how to use His Word. It’s clear and simple: Jesus is the Word made flesh and He says “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27-28). How can you hear what He is telling you to do about your circumstances if you don’t know His instructions, if you can’t recognise Him? Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
