We just started the last month of the year 2013.This time of the year is when companies and many people who are well organised prepare the balances and start setting targets for the year to come. My brother, my sister, Jesus commands all Christians to share the Gospel, the message of His death and resurrection that conquered the penalty and power of sin. If you are a missionary of Christ then, what is your Christian account balance this year, when you hear the Lord commanding you this: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” ? Yes, have you fulfilled your mission this year by “going”? My friends, the Lord is pleased with our obedience, not our promises; He is pleased when we serve Him not out of duty but with love (2 Corinthians 5:14-21). There is still enough time for you to go out there, in obedience to the Lord’s call, to make disciples, not immature believers, and to proclaim that Jesus is our Lord and Saviour. My friend, check your Christian account balance today and look around your area, there are certainly ethnic groups without a Gospel witness, unreached people groups who are still waiting for the way, the truth, and the life found in Christ (Romans 15:20). From your home or in your community, start being a missionary for Christ today through personal evangelism (Acts 1:8). Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
