TODAY’S MEDITATION – Wait on the Lord patiently (Isaiah 8:17)

In this verse, we see that Isaiah decided to wait for the Lord, though God had “turned away from” the people of Israel. For some believers, waiting patiently is sometimes the most difficult thing to do. My brother, my sister, sometimes waiting patiently is indeed a test: waiting for illness to pass, for children to return to the Lord or for God to make matters right in a particular situation. Always remember that many of the prophecies God gave through the prophets would not come to pass immediately… sometimes they came after 700 years. The only thing that is important, whatever your situation, is to keep your eyes set on the Lord, for everything that He allows to happen to you is for your good. You may not see it yet, but believe in Him, trust in Him. He is faithful. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
