TODAY’S MEDITATION – Trusting the Lord IS trusting an unknown future (Daniel 11:1-12)

A lot of people like prophecies, a lot of people distrust prophecies… yet, one fourth of the Bible is made of prophecies. My brother, my sister, prophecies are very important because they are a vital piece of understanding the Word of God and understanding the times in which we live. In this passage, Daniel is revealing Israel’s future. My friend, only God can reveal future events so clearly. Why? Because He is the Creator of heaven and earth. Therefore, always keep in mind that the path you are going through, He traced it before you came into the world: He is not surprised by anything that has happened or is happening to you because His plans for your life are unshakable. Your own sins, people, circumstances may seem like they are against you! yet, the plan of God for you not never lack to come true, on the time He has appointed. Look at the story of Joseph and you will surely understand this. Yes, my friend, as you know God, all you now need to do is to trust in the unknown future that is in His hands for you, with the assurance that all the plans He has for you are ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’ (Jeremiah 29:11) Now, the problem with many people is that when they are going through hardships, they question why God has allowed that, forgetting one thing: this world has rejected the Lord’s love and have submitted to another one, the prince of darkness, a fallen angel we know as Satan: “This is the verdict: light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19). My friends, we know who is causing havoc in our lives. But our God loves us and He has promises never to abandon us. As long as we stick to Him, we will get to where He wants to take us, because all in all, if devil is in the world, the Lord of lords is within us and the Bible says: “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
