TODAY’S MEDITATION – True faith has to be lived out and reflect the power of God working in your life! (1 Corinthians 4:19-20)

Some people talk a lot about faith, but that’s all it is… talk. My brother, my sister, faith is not a matter of the mouth, it is a matter of experiencing God’s power, for it is a gift of God! And hear what Apostle Paul says: “if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power” (1 Corinthians 4:19-20).

Yes, the Kingdom of God is to be lived, not just discussed and not presented in an imaginary way that grows arrogance in us in the end. There is a big difference between knowing the right words and living them out. Unfortunately, some Bible quoters would use their knowledge of the Word as their testimony of Jesus. My friend, the Bible says God has opened our understanding of His Word anyway as a blessing for believing in Him and His son (Luke 24:45). So, never be contented to have the right answers about Christ. The contrary should in fact be worrying for it is normal for any believer to be able to speak about Christ since we have an order to meditate the Word day and night (Joshua 1:8)! However, let your life show that God’s power is really working in you and through you.

Every believer sings “I have given my life to the Lord”. Today realise that GIVING is a voluntary act that means you don’t have what you have given anymore. This brings us to the essence of our giving our lives to the Lord. Yes, have you truly given your life to the Lord for His power to take over where your little power cannot? My friend, God does not share His glory and His power will never be at work in your life when that giving has not become authentic for Him. Giving is to give in full! And when you give your life in full to the Lord, His Spirit will start working His will in you, your faith will grow in a way to start reflecting God’s power. It’s not by might, it’s not by power, it’s by the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
