TODAY’S MEDITATION – To receive God’s guidance, acknowledge Him in all that you (Proverbs 3:6)

Many believers are lost when it comes to defining their goals in life. are left with mixed feelings, they doubt, they waver, etc. Unfortunately too, they sometimes end up accusing their walk with the Lord for bringing more confusion in their life instead of peace when in fact, they themselves caused this inner confusion and have experienced what is called in our society “a cultural shock”. My brother, my sister, nobody starts a business without sitting down to plan it, but to plan it guidance and research are necessary sometimes through key people who are already working in the same area, sometimes by their own research efforts, etc. Now, when believers start their walk with the Lord, many of them want the Lord’s guidance for their day to day lives, but very few are willing to seek Him or to seek His will, all they want is answers from God, and that’s it. Hence the “cultural shock” because God does not just want to answer our prayers: He wants to teach us His ways, show us the right path to take so that we might live a righteous life.

Today’s verses says: “in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” This means that we must turn every area of life over to Jesus. He emphasized this same truth here: “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33). So, to receive the Lord’s guidance, you first need to examine your values and priorities: what is important to you? In what areas have you not acknowledged Him? The problem is that many believers choose the areas they acknowledge God in: for example, they give their money to the Lord, but not their time or their time, but not their money; they want to give their time, but not their life; their life, but not their children; their worship, but not their heart… their future salvation, but not their present worries! My friend, it is simple: the areas where you attempt to restrict or ignore Him in will cause you grief, discouragement if you do not end up losing hope. Make Jesus a vital part of everything you do and possess, then He will be able to guide you so that what you do or possess works to accomplish His purpose for you. God will never guide you to serve any selfish ambition, because selfish ambitions leads to death, not life and Jesus died on the cross for you to have life abundantly! Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
