TODAY’S MEDITATION – The provision of God is waiting for you in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3-4)

Many believers have struggled with daily problems only because they have not yet understood the impact of the spiritual realm in our lives. My brother, my sister, everything that happens to us on this earth started spiritually. You see, there are people who manipulate the lives of others by influencing them through invisible actions because they understand this reality…

My friend, today, understand that the spiritual realm (invisible reality) is as real as the natural realm (visible reality). In fact the spiritual realm determines what happens in the natural realm. In today’s passage, the Bible says: “Praise be to the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3).

Yes, God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. It is a done and concluded deal, my friend. When Jesus died and rose again He appeared to his disciples and then ascended up into heaven (Acts1:9-11)… Everything has been accomplished, and the provision is awaiting each of us… but every day, we stand before the Lord to ask Him to give us what He has already given, instead of becoming more spiritual. Now we understand why the Bible tells us this: ” Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few” (Ecclesiastes 5:2).

Indeed, crying, singing, screaming our requests to God changes nothing: He can hear us but nothing happens because He has already blessed us in the heavenly places… and many of our blessings might remain suspended in the spiritual realm until we decide to go and get them spiritually! In fact, once you received the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, He came to live in your heart and it is through Him that you have access to the heavenly places (Colossians 1:27, Colossians 3:3-4, Colossians 1:12-14). In other words, the heavenly realm is where God has His provision for you, and you are already equipped to receive what is yours by faith: Anna received Samuel by faith… And the Bible shows us how she did it: in silence and in prayer in the temple, despite being laughed at, despite the lack of understanding of the prophet Eli (1 Samuel).

Unfortunately, many people hope that the faith of their pastor or others will help them get their blessings. Well, God is sovereign… but truly, can the urgency, despair or the deep desire that you feel inside of you to get an answer to your prayer be experienced the same way by someone else? So why would you lean your faith on someone’s instead of leaning it on Christ Himself? My friend, God’s promises for you are real and accessible… in heavenly places. So stop moaning and deafen people while giving yourself headaches: you are on earth, God is in heaven! It is only by becoming spiritual that you can operate in the spiritual world. So stop sleeping: study the Word to increase your faith and have a better understanding of what God has made available for you in the heavenly places, seek the face of the Lord in His temple by putting your knees down to receive what is yours in Jesus’ name. God has not changed: If it worked for Hannah, it will work for you… Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
