TODAY’S MEDITATION – The Lord’s purpose for your life will prevail (Proverbs 19:21)

We all have desires and wishes and make plans that sometimes do not match the purpose of the Lord for us, yet we expect Him to approve them or give us His go ahead. As Christians, we should always consult our Heavenly Father before doing any thing or before making decisions for His guidance and direction. But, my brother, my sister, how often do you take your plans to the Lord before starting them off? We should learn to walk with the Lord in our daily life and associate Him in whatever we do, because He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Starter and Finisher of everything… and He knows the outcome of what you want to start, before you start it. Let’s us bear in mind today that, “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” So, there is no reason why we should force on things… adversity may work for your good, my friend, for the Bible says “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE” (Romans 8:28). If things are not working right in your life, my friend, stop for a minute and ask the Lord if the plans that initiated those things are or are not according to His own purpose for you. He will surely guide you to the right path where peace and happiness are for He says His plans for you are “to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
