In this verse we see that David is hunted by those whose love had turned to jealousy, and this was even driving them to try to murder him. My brother, my sister, even trusted friends and family members can turn against you one day, because their love is changeable. But here, we are shown that God’s love for us is changeless, because “His unfailing love continues forever (Psalm 100:5). Yes, my friends, God’s mercy to all who trust Him is just as permanent as His mercy to David. He expressed His love for us by sending His begotten Son, Jesus, to come to earth and die on the cross for us. So, when the love of others fails us or disappoints us, we can rest in God’s unfailing love. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
