TODAY’S MEDITATION – The Lord will not deny who He is because of our faithlessness (2 Timothy 2:13)

Today’s passage says this: “if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself”. What a powerful verse that should make each of us more grateful to God. My brother, my sister, Jesus is faithful. He will stay by your side even when you have endured so much that you seem to have no faith left.

It is true, at times we may be faithless, but Jesus is faithful to His promise to be with us to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). However, it is because we constantly break our part of the covenant with Christ, refusing His help or to follow His commands, that we then have the feeling that He is no longer by our sides. My friend, if your relationship with a friend is broken, how could you go straight to that person’s father? Yes, refusing Jesus’ help breaks our communication with God who will anyway never turn His back on us even when we may turn our back on Him.

My friend, always remember that God is faithful to His children and He promises that someday we will live eternally with Him. Are you facing hardships? Don’t turn away from God, because He is promising you a wonderful future with Him. Today, speak to the hardships you are going through in faith: “I can be hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; I can be persecuted, but I am not abandoned; I am struck down, but I am not destroyed. I will always carry around in my body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in my body” (prayer adapted from 2 Corinthians 4:8-10). May God strengthen you in Jesus’ name. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
