At times, we may wish we could escape troubles, the pain of grief, loss, sorrow, failure or even the small daily frustrations that constantly wear us down. My brother, my sister, as you read this Psalm, you see that the Lord promised to be “close to the brokenhearted” and to be their source of power, courage, wisdom and strength, helping them through their problems. Now, the main problem is that many believers claim God is the starter and finisher of everything. But when they face hardship, they run to Him only after they have tried all kinds of things to try and sort themselves out of their unwanted situation. My friends, let’s learn that it is when trouble strikes that we should not get frustrated with the Lord, but rather admit that we truly need His mighty help, then thank Him and praise Him with that unshakable assurance that He will do something new, He will make a way for us. He is faithful, and His Word will never change; As long as you put Him first, even in times of hardship, He will lift you up, give you the right and perfect solutions and inspire you ways to avoid getting in trouble again through His wisdom, so that your life may move from glory to glory. Yes, today, if you are brokenhearted, know that He is close to you. Therefore, instead of crying, like David tell your soul to praise Him: “Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits – who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed” (Psalm 103:1-6). Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [retweet] [facebook]
