TODAY’S MEDITATION – The Lord is sufficient to handle your plans, your needs and your life (Psalm 104:24-28)

Most people call on God all the time, but are they really satisfied by Him? Today’s passage says this: “How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number—living things both large and small. There the ships go to and fro, and Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there. All creatures look to you to give them their food at the proper time. When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things.”

My brother, my sister, the creation was filled with a stunning variety revealing the rich creativity, goodness and wisdom of our loving God. This passage tells us that many creatures enjoy God’s goodness without making any efforts, just by looking to Him, depending on Him to give them food as they need it. Why is it then that, we, His children, made in His own image suffer to see His open hand that satisfies with good things? Because we still struggle to depend on Him.

My friend, your resistance to God’s sovereign will cause delays and sometimes failures in your progress in life: there is never going to be a plan that works perfectly in your life if God is not in it. You see, God has supreme, unlimited power over the entire universe and He creates, preserves, governs all the things surrounding us. Today, understand God’s power and realise that He is sufficient to handle your plans, your needs and your life. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
