At times, it seems that enemies have surrounded us and are trying to bury us alive, as they will cause us problems from every part and at all cost. My brother, my sister, whatever ways are used by your enemies, God offers you the protection and the grace that is sufficient for you to overcome their plans. To understand this, let’s go back to Judas’ betrayal of Jesus. Judas was eating at the Lord’s table and had the choice, like all the other disciple to choose life or death. But he was greedy, just like your enemies could be jealous, greedy, quarrelsome, hypocrites, etc… In our surrounding, there will always be a Judas. As Satan urged Judas to accomplish his wicked plan, the Judas surrounding you will also go through the same process, by betraying you or try and push you to the abyss. Therefore, you don’t need to focus on Judas’ actions, because whatever Judas’ intention was, Satan who entered him (John 13:27) actually assumed that Jesus’ death would end up our Lord’s mission on earth and God’s plan. Yes, my friend, the enemy surrounding you may know your weaknesses, but he does not know God’s plan for your life, just like Judas and Satan did not know that Jesus’ death was the most important part of God’s plan all along. My friend, the Bible says: ” The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven” (Deuteronomy 28:7). So, why worry about what your enemies are planning against you? Let the Lord deal with your enemies… you keep focusing on The Cross that has set you free from any bondage, because you also have the assurance that “no weapon forged against you will prevail” (Isaiah 54:17).
