TODAY’S MEDITATION – Satan looks for preys… Jesus prays for you! (Acts 2:14)

Peter is one of the disciples of Jesus who showed great instability during Jesus’ ministry, letting not only his bravado be his downfall, but he even denied he knew Jesus (John 18:15-18, 25-27). My brother, my sister, the experience of Peter is an example of the great assurance we have in the Lord Jesus that we see forgiving and restoring Peter (John 21). Yes my friend, when you feel severely tempted by the devil as he is looking for preys to devour, always know that Jesus is standing before you and interceding for you as He did for Peter: “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you like wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers” (Luke 22:31-32). That is the reason why, on these verses, we see a new humble but bold Peter who has gained so much confidence from the Holy Spirit that he has become a powerful and dynamic speaker. Have you ever felt as if you have made bad mistakes that God could never forgive and use you? Then be reassured (or reassure someone around you) today, because no matter what sins you have committed, God promises to forgive you and make you useful for His Kingdom. My friend, do not cling on your sin, go back to the Lord, repent and allow Him to forgive you and use you effectively to serve Him. Jesus died on the Cross for you and He is sitting on the Father’s right hand interceding for you day and night, so gather yourself up if you are discouraged, trust in Him if you have lacked faith or confidence, believe in His imminent restoration in your life for the plans He has for you are “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11)… Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
