TODAY’S MEDITATION – Restore your worship of God (John 4:23)

The Bible tells us that God is looking for true worshipers. But most of the time we are so absorbed with the worries of this world that our worship with God becomes second-hand. My brother, my sister, “This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us” (1 John 5:14 ). But can God hear us when our lips are calling on Him but our hearts and minds are set on bills, problems, worries? Have you ever told someone : “are you listening to me?” because as you are talking to them, they seem away?

My friend, the Bible says “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). Today I want to ask you this question: how to you address the Lord to get the good things you are running after? Have you not heard that all He wants from you is a good relationship with you, for you to enjoy His goodness? “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33). Those things that make you worry, can they exceed the power of God? Restore your worship of God to receive all He has to offer you: peace, love, grace, favour before Him and before men, etc…

Our loving God is faithful and all He is seeking true worshipers: “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks”.(John 4:23). Unfortunately, our lips praise God more often than our hearts and our souls. Make up your mind to be the kind of worshiper who pleases God, and see if God will not do with you all He has promised for His faithful ones. Remember David’s words to encourage you in seeking God with all your heart and all your soul: “I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread” (Psalm 37:25). Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
