TODAY’S MEDITATION – Prayer makes God move in our favour (Psalm 107:28-30)

Beneath the surface of our daily routine, a fierce struggle is being waged among invisible spiritual powers. My brother, my sister, God really loves us. Knowing this, He provided us with our main defense weapon: prayer! Indeed, prayer is whatGod has given us for our own protection against evil and to find strength when we are tired.

Today’s passage says: “Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven”. And the book of Ephesians lists our armours for spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:10-19). But, despite that, many believers of Christ are always defeated by the evil one despite Christ making them more than conquerors already. Today, let’s insist on the fact that, unless you take the threat of spiritual attack seriously, you will never be able to pray effectively to repel, destroy or fight back when Satan brings destruction in your life.

Many believers keep praying for strength. And they are right. But unless you realise that “The Lord is your strength and your shield” (Psalm 28:7), you will continue to focus on the actions of the enemy instead of doing what is necessary for the strength of the Lord to actually strengthen you: study the Bible to recognize the tactics of Satan, memorize verses to use when you are attacked and above all practice what you have learned to become an effective warrior for the cause and glory of Christ.

My friend, know that while you are counting the numbers of minutes, days or years since you have been praying… the enemy does not count… he does not even know how to count because his time is limited, so he does evil every second wherever he can… he does not care about you, whether it be a day you want to take some rest or not. Therefore, we must learn to pray without ceasing to allow God to work and break the cycle of the actions of the devil around our lives: Satan hates when we pray, so pray, pray and pray to scare him away from you. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
