TODAY’S MEDITATION – Our Lord, Jesus Christ is risen (1 Corinthians 15:14-17)

Easter Sunday is the most triumphant day in the calendar of the Christian Church. Today’s verse says: “And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.” This day is the greatest day for all the saints and great hope for all. Therefore, my brother, my sister, each of us should rejoice on this holy day. Let no one, conscious of his sinfulness, withdraw from our common celebration, nor let anyone be kept away from our public prayer by the burden of his guilt. Today, share Christ with someone who still does not know Him… Tell that person Christ is risen! He has burst open the gates of hell and let the dead go free; He has reconciled man with the Father and brought a renewed life to the earth through The members of His Church who are now born again. His Holy Spirit has unlocked the doors of heaven, which stand wide open to receive those who rise up from the earth. Because of Christ’s resurrection the thief ascends to paradise, the bodies of the blessed enter the holy city, and the dead are restored to the company of the living. Yes, there is eternal hope for all who believe in Him. Renew your covenant with Him today, for you Saviour to raise you from the depths, lift you lift up and set you in the heights. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [facebook] [retweet]
