TODAY’S MEDITATION – Man has his say…God has the final say! (Lamentations 3:37)

You will never stop people from talking about you, think they know better about you than yourself or that they know what’s best for you. My brother, my sister, the truth is that people will always say or think what they want about you. But that should never be a problem to you because all in all… only God has the final say over your life and the Bible says: “Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed it?”

My friend, never allow any human being to dictate your life. First, remember that when God created you, He did not ask anyone His opinion about you… no one was there. My friend, today your situation might seem like there is no outcome, no exit and that makes you doubt about your future. Well, focus on the only one who can give you peace and change things. My friend, realise today that the minute you remove your life or your projects out of the hands of the Lord, you have transferred it into the hands of the devil and his evil plans started weighing down on you. So, reverse things and return to God for, He is the One who decided to send you into this world, with a clear purpose. Yes, someone will always have to say something about what you or what you are doing, but you don’t have to bow to the pressure… stay focused on the Lord. Remember Hannah (1 Samuel), she did not mind the mocking of Penninah, she did not stop at her own condition, and God rewarded her with the son she asked for. Why? Because, even when the man of God thought she was drunk and therefore talking to herself while she was actually praying, she remained focused on the only one who could actually change her situation.

My friend, God will reward your faithfulness, your patience and your forbearance! Let people say what they want about you: they don’t know what God has planned for you! God will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5), and His Word is living and active (Hebrews 4:12). No matter your situation today, He is the only one who has the final say about it. Even Satan’s dribbling to confuse and discourage you will never stop God to fulfill what He has planned for your life. While waiting for that to happen, rest assured that His grace is enough for you (2 Corinthians 12:9). Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
