In this verse, the prophet Habakkuk says: “His glory covered the heavens and his praise filled the earth”, which gives us more than enough reason to lift His name on high. My brother, my sister, what does it mean to lift God’s name on high? It means to praise Him for who He is as you recognize that He is your Alpha and Omega, the one who sustains you, redeems you, provides for you, gives you health, peace and all you have… and above all the One who will never leave you nor forsake you no matter what happens to you in this life, for He promised to always be with you until the world ends (Matthew 28:20). So, today, with this great assurance and despite our personal circumstances, let’s lift the Lord’s name high, for He deserves our praises, and like the psalmist, let’s pray: “I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your right hand upholds me” (Psalm 63:4-8). Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [facebook] [retweet]
