TODAY’S MEDITATION – Live the Gospel (1 Peter 3:15-18)

What do you do with the Gospel you hear? So many people are used to social services that their first reflex is to turn to people, to mum, dad, social services to find answers when they don’t understand things… but, my brother, my sister, what do you do with the Gospel you hear? The Gospel is not meant to be kept secret… sharing the good news is a command, for the Bible says “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20). Do you know how many Cornelius there are out there? I mean people who have the fear of God, pray the Lord but are not saved? Now, the Lord may not reveal Himself to Cornelius but is looking for someone available that He can send to meet Cornelius. Are you available for the Lord to use you? Yes, you are certainly available to serve the Lord, but I repeat my question: Are you available for the Lord to use you? If you are, then you should live the Gospel every day!!!! And when you live the Gospel, your testimony alone is enough, for the Holy Spirit will do the job for you. It is not for everything that you, a servant of God, has to start praying for. The Lord sent Peter to Cornelius and look at what happened: “While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message” (Acts 10:44). You know why it is so easy for people to start laying hands of prayer on you, because it is more difficult to proclaim the Good News… we like sensations, we like to see we are doing something… who asked you to do anything, my friend? Accept to suffer doing things you have not seen… and let the Spirit of God do things that you will see… Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
