TODAY’S MEDITATION – Let’s learn to respect the order the Lord has established in His church (Ephesians 6:10-20)

We just spent three amazing day with Pastor Daniel and I just want to share this to encourage each Christian. My brother, my sister, the Spirit of God is ready to take you through whatever situation you are in. God cannot help you if you don’t want His help. And for God to help you, you need to seek Him. How do you seek Him to break the yokes in your life? First by acknowledging that you are under a yoke; secondly by seeking God’s power.

Many Christians think that because the Spirit of God dwell in them, they can cast out demons. The Bible says there are different kinds of demons who are causing havoc in the lives of the children of God. And to defeat them, the Lord provided us not only for His Spirit (where the Spirit of God dwells, an evil spirit cannot dwell) and by giving us His armour (Ephesians 6:10-20). However, Christians today are trying to use these armour without respect, even what God Himself respects: ORDER.

My friend, know that, “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12). Unfortunately, many believers think they can cast out demons just like that, so they pray and fast and do it in flesh. Today know that, in order for you to cast an evil spirit that is a ruler, you need to be a ruler; in order to cast an evil spirit that is an authority, you need to be an authority. Maybe that is the reason why you always have the feeling that evil spirits are always behind you despite all your prayer and fasting. Why did David defeat Goliath where an entire army fail? Because Goliath was the chief of the Philistines, and David was an authority anointed by God.

My friend, maybe your problem is resisting because you don’t want to submit it to the authority the Lord has placed before you to help you out with it or because you just don’t want to submit to authorities. Yes, we can all cast out demons (in theory), but only those who are authorised and anointed by God can because if, we, the Christians do not respect order and want to do things, the demons do. That is why the seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were trying to cast out a demon, look at what happened: “One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding” (Acts 19:15-16). My friend, it is time we learnt to respect the order God has established in His church in order to see victories in our lives. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
