These words were said by Jesus during His trial, just before He was crucified. My brother, my sister, if you understand, meditate and get to the revelation of these words today, there is no reason you should be anxious or scared again before anyone who tries to oppress, attack or harm you. Here Jesus is standing before men who are wrongly trying to find reasons to kill Him. But because He knows that whatever happens to Him is under the control of the one who sent Him on earth, He does not take it personally, He does cry, He does not try to defend Himself, He does not even try to tell them they are doing wrong… He acknwledges the perfect will and power of God over His life. In other words, Jesus is telling you today that no one, no circumstance has power over you if they have not been allowed by God! My friend, maybe what you are going through today may seem difficult to you and even makes mumble, cry or think that life is unfair. Today gather strength and say to that person or to that situation “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above!” This is the way to confess that you truly “know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). And like Job, always reflect on this: “Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” (Job 2:10). My friend, if God is really controlling your life, whenever someone or an unwanted situation comes to you, then do not be afraid, do not cry, do not try to blame others or God Himself… instead, seek His face, draw near Him where peace is found for any messy situations trying to weigh down your life.
