TODAY’S MEDITATION: Jesus is willing to help you today (Mark 1:41)

My brother, my sister, we have such a great assurance that the Lord IS with us, defending us when we are attacked, guiding us when we feel lost or uncertain of what to do, helping us in times of need. Yes, Jesus is willing to help you. Whatever you are asking for, if it will glorify Jesus, God is able and willing to give it to you right away.
Our problem today is that many of us, the believers of Christ, we are often limited in our prayers and this is because we do not understand how willing God is to meet our needs. Everyone is confident of God’s ability to do anything, but not everyone is sure He is willing to do it for them today.
Maybe you have gone through unanswered prayers, a time of hopelessness or uncertainty. Today, know that you only need to connect God’s willingness and ability together. God is willing to do anything you ask that will bring glory to Him: “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it” (John 14:13-14). Yes, God wants to answer your prayers so He may be glorified through Jesus. That is the reason why He had sent Jesus on earth for on top of your salvation!
My friend, nobody can approach Jesus out of desperation and remain the same. Remember the desperate leper who came to Him for help “A man with leprosy[a] came to him and begged him on his knees, ‘If you are willing, you can make me clean’” (Mark 1:40). What was Jesus’ answer? “I am willing… Be clean” (Mark 1:41).
Just like all of us, the leper knew Jesus was able to heal him. However, he was not sure if Jesus was willing to heal a man like him. Sometimes we feel the same, unclean and unworthy to approach God on our own merits. Well, we don’t need to feel unworthy because we can now “approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
My friend, God is willing to help you out of every unwanted circumstance right now. Go to Him and allow Jesus to out in love and touch you as He touched the leper, a man whom no one else was willing to touch. Jesus touched him and answered his prayer.
Jesus is willing to help you too. Whatever you are asking for, if it will glorify Jesus, God is able and willing to give it to you today. Whether you want physical healing, emotional healing, love, material needs… literally anything you need, know that Jesus is willing to help you today. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
