Today, many believers walk their Christian walk without realizing that their status has already been upgraded. Why? Because they have not yet understood that the church of Christ is not a place where imperfect people come to become perfect, but instead it is a place where lost people come to find freedom. My brother, my sister, when you go to a shop to upgrade your phone, most of the time, you end up leaving that place with a brand new phone. So, why do you resist the Lord’s upgrading by clinging to your old self instead of allowing Him to renew you from inside out, so that you can start living the life He has designed for you? Yes, you have already been upgraded, so it is time for you to throw the old man away and let the new one shine (2 Corinthians 5:17). How is that possible, you may ask? Well, Today’s verse says: “You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings.” In other words, Jesus does not want you to make Him number one before human beings because none can be compared to Him (Psalm 40:5). Yes, Jesus wants to be the Lord of your life, the one who guides you step by step and leads you to His freedom, His peace and His joy. My friend, Jesus has already upgraded your status, “For you have been bought with a price” ((1 Corinthians 6:20). The problem many people face is that they have not yet understood this fundamental truth: Christianity is not about us, it is about Jesus Christ! Yes, the Lord has called you to live a better life, free from debt, failure, greed, doubt and away from sin and He has given you the opportunity to access this life through repentance, forgiveness, healing and restoration as you surrender to Him.
