TODAY’S MEDITATION – Jesus did not remain on the cross! (John 20:19-20)

Today, it is amazing and sometimes weird to see that many Christians do not respond to the message of the Cross with the confidence they should. My brother, my sister, what does the Cross really means to you? When we read the Gospel, we understand that Jesus came into this world, established His church during His ministry, then accomplished His mission on earth on the Cross, by carrying our sins for us to be redeemed and reconciled with God the Father. What does Jesus’ obedient act mean to you then? Today many people, including believers, live as if Christ is still hanging on the Cross: they are burdened by their circumstances so much that they want to find solutions themselves while the Lord is asking us this: “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken” (Psalm 55:22) ; “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans” (Proverbs 16:3) and ” Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). My friends, all your worries remained on the Cross and when your mighty Lord rose from the dead, He woke in victory for you and with you who believe in Him. Therefore, trust Him as He is interceding for you at the right hand of our Father, day and night… Therefore, like the disciples who became overjoyed when the resurrected Christ revealed Himself to them (John 20:19-20), my friend, rejoice above all and despite everything because the Lord you believe in did not remain on the Cross. He is alive! Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
