My brother, my sister, Jesus is not afraid of our messes. He is your Saviour and your Rescuer! Have you ever seen a loving parent abandoning their child because they are covered with mess? If a loving parent can give good things to his children, how much more our Lord?
Today, remember that Jesus can step into every situation in your life if we allow Him to because He is a merciful God. When He does that, because He loves us, any mess in your life is too small for Him to handle. He had come into the world not only to save us (our Saviour) but also to rescue you (our Lord).
Today’s verse says: “He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”Yes, your Lord will always pull you out of every pit you might have dug yourself into or that you were pushed into. It does not matter. And the beauty of His rescue is that, He will not lecture you or lead you to change by giving you a guilty conscience. In fact, as He rescues you from your mess, He will display love that will make you whole again, reminding you of who you are and what you are capable of when you are aligned with His will.
Today, come boldly to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16) if you are in a mess and humble ask the Lord Jesus to get you out of it for the glory of God. He will not only remove the dry season, brush off the dust I your life but also, He will fill you with His hope, sustain you with His grace, cleanse you with His blood and renew you from inside out with His love. Now, take a minute or two to ask Him!
