TODAY’S MEDITATION – It is the Good News that saves, if… (1 Corinthians 15:1-2)

Most churches are filled with people who do not yet believe. Yes, some people who go to church are moving in the direction of belief, others are simply pretending and are actually impostors. My brother, my sister, when you really believe in the Gospel that was taught to you, you cannot be addicted to your pastor or anyone, let alone live a life contrary to the teachings of Christ: do you get up to go to church without being called or urged by someone? Do you seek the Lord for who He is and not for your own comfort or relief? Ask yourself the right questions before claiming you are really a Christian. Let me put it this way: these days we are watching the football world cup, imagine a player who is in the middle of the field and suddenly stops playing with his team to watch them play as a bystander and the others try to motivate or force him to play. Will you say that player loves his team and wants his team to win? Everybody will be shocked by such attitude isn’t it? Know that it is the same when someone claims to be a believer in Christ, and yet makes not efforts to fellowship with fellow Christians (because it is too late at night or too early in the morning, or any other personal reason)… By doing so, the person is withdrawing himself from the team of Christ too! Have you really believed His Good News? If you have truly believed it, the first thing you will want to do is get to know Him better, not only to live according to His principles but also to be able to share Him with others, and go and make disciples of all nations as He commanded us (Matthew 28:19). My friend, never forget this: the Good News about Jesus Christ will save you IF you continue to believe it and faithfully follow it. Today’s verse says: “Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.” No comment! The Word of God is clear… IF YOU HOLD FIRMLY TO THE WORD… Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [retweet] [facebook]
