Many people cry out for comfort, security, relief, etc… but they have not taken the first steps that will lead it to that. In our societies today, everything is there to show us that with hard work we can get a certain comfort, but the only comfort that is certain is the one that comes from the Lord, because it comes along with His peace! Anyway, my brother and sister, God does not promote idleness or laziness: “he craving of a sluggard will be the death of him, because his hands refuse to work” (Proverbs 21:25). Yet, we also have to understand one key point: the first, not to say, the main step is to turn away from sin and therefore open the channels of God in our lives, by repenting and trusting the Lord, our Provider. Yes, like any loving parent you may know, God teaches and guides us and is telling you this today: “‘I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea” (Isaiah 48:17-18). Yes, we should always listen to Him because peace and righteousness come to us as we obey His Word. My friend, today, accept to pay attention to God’s commands to access that peace and righteousness that will change all the areas of you life. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
