This verse says it all. At times, we may have the feeling that God has forgotten us. My brother, my sister, God can never forget you and this is the reason why: you were in the world when He found you, called you to be saved by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Now, how can God give up Jesus to death and then forget or abandon you on the highway that leads to heaven you. Do you at least know how precious you are to God? This would be like a rich man spending a vast sum of money on a car and then leaving it on the roadside because he cannot afford to pay for petrol to run it. How absurd! Therefore, when you think God has forgotten or abandoned you, reverse your thinking and humbly recognized that you have forgotten and abandoned Him instead. My friend, since God gave up His Son to buy your eternal life, He will certainly give you whatever you need to live for Him now and enable you to keep the pace to reach home for your ultimate glorification. My friend, when you read the Bible, many times, God’s people thought He had abandoned them, while they had actually drove themselves away from His presence by their sins, unfaithfulness, disobedience or rebellion. The more you know God, the more you should realise that He has planned a new beginning and a new purpose for your life. So, even in times of dire circumstances, when it may look as if God has forgotten you, be assured that He only wants you to look for Him wholeheartedly, so that you can see and live the plans He has been preparing for you. And any circumstances is temporary, but His future and hope is what He is offering you in Christ. That’s why you can call upon Christ in confidence. No, never despair before a difficult situation because the Spirit of God dwells in you and most importantly, you have the privilege of prayer and the grace of God upon your life. My friend, if you seek God wholeheartedly today, He will be found because nothing, neither a foreign land, sorrow, persecution, nor physical problems… nothing, can break your fellowship with God or separate you from His love (Romans 8:35). Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [facebook] [retweet]
