TODAY’S MEDITATION – How thankful are you to the Lord? (Psalm 95:1-7)

This Psalm is a call to God’s people to worship the one true God… now! My brother, my sister, it is a call to remember the security the Lord has given you, and to act accordingly by not only being thankful for who God is and that He desires to have a relationship with you, but also by being thankful for what God has done for you. You see, today, most people, including believers act like this: “For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened” (Romans 1:21). Yes, many people are not thankful! They forget where God has brought them from or they are selfish. Both are a big mistake. On the contrary, a grateful person, a mature person realises that life is a gift from God, and any blessings we receive come from Him. My friend, today, hear this call to praise and worship the creator of the universe who desires to have a relationship with you, in order to take you to the place He knew you from your mother’s womb. Yes, being thankful to our Lord and Saviour is not only acknowledging Him when He does great things for us, it is also acknowledging Him for who He is. Sta blessed in Jesus’ name.
