TODAY’S MEDITATION – How imperative is it for you to be a member of Christ’s church? (Mark 16:15)

Today, many believers theorise about belonging to a local church as if it is a matter for discussion. Most of the time, those who do that are those who chose to be members in their flesh while in their spirit they are not… My brother, my sister, how imperative is it for you to see and understand the importance of being a member of The Church of The Lord Jesus Christ? You see, as members of His Church, we must be active towards the desires of The Head, we must be willing to do the will of the Father just as the Head showed us, so that not one should perish: “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
My friend, the unbelievers need to receive faith and it is only by the testimony of those who already know Christ that they can do so by hearing The Word of God (Romans 10:17)! We all are members of the Body of Christ and, as Apostle Paul said: we are living cells that don’t die! We are active cells that are supposed to do the will of Our Head, Christ Jesus. Now, when the Body of Christ is not an imperative for you, how can you be a true representative of His Kingdom? My Friend, the Head of the Body tells us to preach the Gospel to all nations, to spread the Good News of His Kingdom so that the world will be blessed here on earth… He never asked any of us to pray or seek wealth, prophecies or material blessings! Before leaving the earth, the Head promised us the Spirit of God that has dressed us with miraculous powers to preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8). So, Let me ask you this question today: why are you a member of a church if your greatest desire is not to spread the Gospel of the Head of the church? We should truly ask ourselves the right questions as Christians. Of course, there are many ways we can spread the Good News: by evangelising or supporting evangelism in the church… for many believers have neglected this important aspect of their duty as Christians. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
