TODAY’S MEDITATION – How do you respond to the Lord who tells you “I have always loved you”? (Malachi 1:2)

The Book of Malachi is found at the end of the Old Testament and the beginning of the New Testament. And the most interesting thing about this book is that it is a book that rebukes the people and especially the priests who are neglecting their worship of God and failing to live according to His Will. My brother, my sister, as you read this book and open your heart to Malachi’s message, evaluate the depth of your commitment, the sincerity of your worship and the direction of your life. Why? Because Malachi was sent by God to denounce the corruption of the priest who were meant to lead the people, which is still a reality today, for many churches are now preaching the gospel of people, just to fill their seats and fill their tithes and offering baskets rather than teaching the Gospel of the Lord Jesus who is calling us to repentance, forgiveness and faith in Him alone! This message is also about you if have an inconsistent relationship with the Lord and that you conform yourself more to the world than to Him. My friend, Jesus is the example to follow and our lives are supposed to reflect Jesus’ teachings, the only teachings that heal and set free: “But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves” (Malachi 4:2)… but this teachings start by the fear of the Lord and the fear of the Lord is to take stock of ourselves by setting aside our sinful habits, putting the Lord first, and giving God our best each day . That’s the only way we can respond to the Lord who, today, is telling us again “I have always loved you.” Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [facebook] [retweet]
