TODAY’S MEDITATION – How do you access the blessings of the Lord? (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

Many believers tend to pray asking the Lord to bless them first, then they will serve Him with what He has blessed them with. My brother, my sister, such a prayer is a joke because it means you do not even know how wicked and unfaithful your heart is. My friend, if this is the way you pray, then it will be hard for you to access the blessings that come for God. Why? Because He has already blessed you… when you trust in Him, but it is only because you don’t know you are blessed that you are asking Him to bless you: “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Therefore, whatever blessings you need to access in your life, my friend is available for you… but you need to start trusting the Lord. Now, my friend, are you sick and you want to be blessed with healing? Are you in need of food and water? Are you in need of children? My friend, are you in need of anything? Do you want to see your enemies run away? Then listen to what the Lord is telling you today “Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away disease from among you, and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span. I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run” (Exodus 23:25-27). Yes, your Lord has already prepared all your blessings, but He is also giving you a command to be able to access them: “For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess” (Deuteronomy 30:16). My friend, if you really want to access the blessings the Lord has in store for you, pray that He teaches you His ways and how to walk according to His principles first… then, because He is faithful to His Word, you will see His promises be fulfilled in your life. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name. [retweet] [facebook]
