TODAY’S MEDITATION – God’s righteousness is near us (Isaiah 45:18-19)

God has promised us many things and we know most of his promises because He publicly proclaimed them (verse 19). My brother, my sister, the fulfillment of God’s promises is sure. So, why do we ever doubt Him? The answer is simple: we look at our circumstances and listen more to Satan’s coward lies than we truly trust in the Lord.

Today, bear in mind that you should never be uncertain when you have a God of truth and righteousness. Today’s passage says: “I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness;
I have not said to Jacob’s descendants, ‘Seek me in vain.’ I, the Lord, speak the truth; I declare what is right.” (verse 19). Yes, our God is not doing things in obscure places like the devil. What He wants to do for you is clear and more visible than what you have in mind. Start trusting Him 100% and allow Him to materialise the promises He has made you for His name to be glorified in your life. Believing in god is not in vain. Seeking God is not in vain. Trusting God is not in vain… there is something greater to find and get than any man or the world can ever offer you. Christ knows the way to God and God has given us His Son to show us the way to Him. What else do we want? My friend, listen to this: last year I laughed to read in a newspaper that a French-speaking teenager failed his French GCSE. How come? While all his answers were good, he did not follow the instructions and his answers were not accurate to the questions! This is what many believers do: they know what Christ is teaching us to do, but they adapt their actions to suit their own teachings. My friend, seek Christ and follow His teachings faithfully and you will see in the material world what God has in store for you. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
