TODAY’S MEDITATION – God wants you to be successful (2 Chronicles 26:5)

When a parent sends his children to school, it is because he wants them to be successful in life. Now, the idea of success that the world has put in our minds is that we have to become wealthy. Therefore, people always have this wrong understanding that being successful or wealthy does not go with a child of God. If you have truly read the Bible, you will see that God Himself blessed Solomon and made Him a rich man, and before him, He blessed Abraham and many others. My brother, my sister, God wants us to be successful. But do not reduce success to great financial means, because as you do so, you may grow frustration within you when you feel that you will never be successful because the chances of your attaining financial wealth are very slim. My friend, for the Lord, you are successful whenever you reach a goal or something that you attempt to do. So, it is not necessarily a financial result. he Bible says: "In everything he did he had great success, because the Lord was with him" (I Samuel 18:14). So, you can be successful as a good parent. You can be successful as a good teacher. Success comes in many forms that we can each achieve everyday of our lives. Now, we also read that "As long as he sought the Lord, God gave him success" (2 Chronicles 26:5). So, my friend it is quite clear that as long as you seek the Lord in everything that you are doing, He will give you success in it: you have a business and wants to be successful, associate with the Lord first! You want a successful marriage, seek the Lord first! You want a job, seek the Lord first! My friend, He knows the desires of our hearts and He wants us to delight (Psalm 37:4). And even in the midst of adversity, He can give you success like He did with Joseph (Genesis 39:2-6). So, my friend, It is up to you to set goals for yourself. The Lord is not going to set them for you. It is also up to you to work hard toward the attainment of those goals... and as long as you keep believing in the fact that God is with you because you sought Him first with your projects and that He wants you to be successful, He will fulfill His promises for your life. Stay blessed in Jesus' name. [retweet] [facebook]
