TODAY’S MEDITATION – God wants us to live as testimonies to Christ (Ephesians 3:14-21)

So many believers are expecting a breakthrough, a restoration or just some drastic change in their lives… but all that seem unreachable or delayed. My brother, my sister, God is a miracle doer, but His miracles are no longer for us who have already started walking with Christ… they are mainly for unbelievers who are still lost and need to see them to believe. As for us, we are already in the House of God, in the Kingdom where all riches are in Christ. And God wants us to live as testimonies to Christ and impact the world, and He knows we cannot do that without means, money or resources. Now, how do we access these means and resources?
First of all, Jesus tells us that we can do nothing without Him (John 15:5), but also the Word of God also shows us from Genesis to Revelation that, without the Word of God applied in our lives, we cannot access the things God has already made available to us. Now, Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh, which means that, without us trying to live following the steps of Jesus, it will be hard for us to see the things God wants to give us. We also recall that many passages in the Bible say almost the same thing: “Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you. Accept instruction from his mouth and lay up his words in your heart. If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored: If you remove wickedness far from your tent” (Job 22:21-23), “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” (Joshua 1:8)…
My friend, the Bible says: “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21). Yes, Solomon asked for wisdom and God blessed Him with wisdom, wealth, and honour. God loves us more than any earthly father could love us. He gives us the good things we ask for, He gives us the needs we do not ask for, and He gives us blessings we didn’t dream of asking for. He wants us to be like Jesus. He wants us to be spiritually strong and faithful. Now, let’s meditate today asking ourselves why is it what we ask sometimes delays or does not come at all while our Father is the Giver? Always looking at external factors is just an excuse that makes us feel good five minutes, because God does not need to look at the approval of man or the refusal of Satan when He decides to give someone. He is Almighty and decides as He wants. But maybe we ourselves could be the cause of the delay of the manifestation of God’s mighty hand in our lives. Nevertheless, we have the assurance that the will of God is for us to prosper and be in good health as our soul prospers. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
