TODAY’S MEDITATION – God saved us for His own glory (Ezekiel 36:21-23)

Many people have a misunderstanding of the reason why God sent Jesus to earth to save us. My brother, my sister, if you truly measure what happened on the cross, the way you approach God should be with more freedom and respect than lack of reverence. The Bible tells us that “God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:19). Besides, today’s passage adds this: “I had concern for my holy name, which the house of Israel profaned among the nations where they had gone ‘Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am going to do these things, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone.”

This tells us that God was doing all this for Himself first, because in fact we do not deserve any favour from Him after what happened in the garden of Eden. Why then did God want to protect His holy name, not to say His reputation, among the nations of this world? My friend, God did all this for you and I, to stop us, His people, to remain in sin and be permanently destroyed by the enemy, which would lead the world to conclude that their pagan gods are more powerful than our God. That is the reason why God says: “For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another” (Isaiah 48:11).

Yes, today know that God does not let defame regarding your life, your situation or to the things that the enemy made the world believe that your God is not alive. My friend (e), lets passed away and know that to protect His holy name, God wants to act in your life, He wants to establish you, restore you, take you to another level… He does not share His glory with false gods because He alone is the true God. Therefore, embrace Him with all your heart and with all your mind and with all your soul: He will stand up for you, fight your battles; He supports you and protects you while you represent Him in the world. Take your responsibilities in 2016 and see the victory of the Lord Jesus throughout the year that is about to begin as He transforms you from the inside out and changes your life for the better and for perfection. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
